For those interested in anything Oscar — from the Red Carpet to predicting the winners — you're in luck. There are a potpourri of contests and sweepstakes that allow fans to be a part of Oscar Sunday.
From the Academy
The Oscars is put on by the Academy. Thus, the nonprofit organization is in the best position to give prizes and access. Every fall, the Academy launches a global online lottery to find bleacher fans. Those who were not lucky enough to score a seat still have a chance to sit along the famous Red Carpet.
Ultimate Fan Experience: Enter here (Open until Feb. 1, U.S. only, 18+)
ABC and The Academy are offering the "Ultimate Oscar Red Carpet Fan Experience Sweepstakes." The grand prize includes two bleacher tickets to the 2013 Red Carpet, airfare for two to Los Angeles, two nights hotel accommodations and a gift bag with merchandise and an official program.
Stumble the Oscars: Enter here (Enter daily, open until Jan. 30, U.S. only, 18+)
Every day users can "Stumble" through the List of the Day. (You will have to sign up for a StumbleUpon account.)
One user will win a prize each day. The list of prizes includes magazine subscriptions and gift cards. All daily winners can submit their answer to, "For a chance to go to the Oscars red carpet, tell us why you love the Oscars," and be entered to win the Grand Prize, which includes two tickets to the bleacher seats, transportation credit for around Los Angeles, two nights at the Mondrian Los Angeles hotel and two roundtrip tickets to Los Angeles from (from Feb. 23 to Feb. 25, 2013) for a total value around $1,550.
