The Oscars is put on by the Academy. Thus, the nonprofit organization is in the best position to give prizes and access. Every fall, the Academy launches a global online lottery to find bleacher fans. Those who were not lucky enough to score a seat still have a chance to sit along the famous Red Carpet.
