Videos: Maggie Simpson, Oscar nominee
Maggie Simpson is now an Oscar nominee. And FOX has no problem promoting it, during a preview for Sunday's episode of "The Simpsons."
The Animated Short film she starred in last summer — "Maggie Simpson in 'The Longest Daycare'" — is nominated for the 85th Academy Awards. The film premiered before "Ice Age: Continental Drift" in July 2012.
"Longest Daycare" is a four-and-a-half-minute animated short film in 3-D. "Simpsons" executive producer James L. Brooks proposed making and releasing a short film in front of a feature film — similar to Pixar feature films.
