When The Gold Knight Editor, Mr. James A. Molnar, asked me to write a review for this film I was overwhelmed with excitement, encouragement and ultimately gratitude. This is my first written movie review, and I couldn't think of a better film to write about. It had a powerful impact on me, the viewer, and has had the same effect on many others who have seen it.
Pat, played by Bradley Cooper, was recently released from an inpatient mental hospital and has a new outlook with a specific purpose. Without revealing any spoilers, his main message is that life can be better if you think positive and look for the silver lining. It is a beautiful concept, but not as easily obtained when put into practice. A powerful quote Pat says to his psychologist, Dr. Cliff Patel (Anupam Kher), "I hate my illness and I want to control it."
